At the After Party, it’s her party. The long awaited album ‘After Party’ from Ru Paul’s Drag Race finalist Adore Delano is due to debut 11th March and fans are gagging in suspense. After she beat her way through the drag queens of Ru Paul’s Drag Race season 6, Adore was quick to release her first album ‘Till Death Do We Party’ which took her touring around every corner of the globe.
Adore Delano, the drag alter ego of Daniel Noriega, a 2008 contestant on American Idol, is currently concluding her UK tour for the release of ‘After Party’. The albums overall sound is littered with her real life experiences, edgier and darker than her previous work, showing us this is the After Party. Adore had immediate success with the release of her first album pushing her out of the shadow of her Drag Race brand and into the limelight; proven by a variety of fans; straight and gay, boys and girls (myself included, of course).
Her tour began at iconic gay club ‘The Two Brewers’ where ‘adoring’ fans filled the intimate space and organised chaos when she graced the stage. Representing her classic ratchet couture with a blond dread-locked wig and a short black slit dress with duck-taped nipples. With a face ‘beat for the gods’ it was had not to fan girl over the towering beauty sashaying the stage.
Her gig consisted of a short set of debut songs from the album Hosted by the ever growing Holy Trannity. As expected the crowd were drooling over the set; opened with ‘After Party’ and edging into the personal break-up tracks with ‘Foreign Lover’ and ‘I Can’t love You’. Adore is a rock star and lets everyone know about her Charisma, Uniqueness Nerve and Talent. Let’s all hope we get and invite next year.
Now, on to the After Party.
