Are You Being Bullied?

Sadly, many of us can say we have experienced bullying first hand, and if not, will know someone whom has been bullied. Although previously the majority of bullying incidents occurred within the school grounds, it is now a completely different story. Nowadays, social media platforms have created a gateway for bullies to take meanness to a whole new level. The result is that people are being victimised at school or work, then instead of returning home to find some kind of respite, enduring endless torment within their own homes. It is no wonder that the cases of self-harm and suicide have reached an all-time high.

If you, or someone you know is being bullied, read on for ways to help you deal with those mean individuals, and help you take back your life.

These are the worst kind of cowards, who hide behind their computers in order to abuse innocent people. Fortunately there are several ways to effectively deal with an online bully. Firstly report the situation to the relevant department – each platform whether it is Facebook or Twitter take cyber-bullying seriously and will take every measure to assist you. Secondly, ensure you then block whoever is trying to cause you upset.

2.Report

There is no excuse for bullying. Bizarre as this may sound, bullies are very insecure people that try to inflict misery on others in order to validate their own life. Their purpose is to make you feel just as insecure, but you must be strong. Do not allow them to continue treating people this way. Make a record of their actions and comments, and report it to either the head (if you are at school) or your boss. If this is not effective, keep complaining and speaking out until appropriate action is taken.

3.Love Yourself

Remember that these people are not worth your tears or worry. This is one tiny part of your life, and most people do not behave in this way. Things will get better. In the meantime, take the necessary steps to nip the problem in the bud, surround yourself with people that make you feel good, and never forget how wonderful you are!
