So here is a quick recap of the Drake and Meek Mill beef news flying around, we cannot be behind on rap-feud news, so see more below.
And then, there was Meek Mill- Dreams Worth More Than Money “R.I.C.O.” featuring Drake. Apparently, things were good at this point, until things started going south between the two rappers last week. Meek’s girl Nicki Minaj was busy with the social media drama with Taylor Swift, while the Philadelphia rapper Meek went on his own unexpected tweetstorm, writing, “Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps!” Meek later named Drake’s alleged ghostwriter, Quentin Miller, who denied the charge. He also added that if he knew this, Drake wouldn’t be on his album….
Then on Saturday, Drake responds to Meek Mill’s ghostwriting accusations with “Charged Up” diss track. People joked that Drake probably made his ghostwriting team stay up all late Friday night. Drake called out Meek’s opening act on his girlfriend Nicki Minaj’s tour: “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?”. He added “This for y’all that think that I don’t write enough- They just mad ’cause I got the Midas touch”….
Meek Mill called the track “baby lotion soft” while joking that Drake definitely wrote that and everyone thought Meek was going to respond with a track but that did not happen………..Then, in the middle of the night on Tuesday, Drake dropped another track called “Back to Back”—a freestyle notable for outstanding lines; accompanying it on SoundCloud with a photo of former Toronto Blue Jays player Joe Carter, who hit a home run to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies in the ’93 World Series.
In conclusion, Meek has definitely raised his profile and thanks to this beef, we got to hear new tracks from both parties or maybe the whole thing was just a publicity stunt to sell records, and Drake and Meek are probably texting each other money bag emoji as we speak, either way; we are loving every bit of it.
