Just one day after turning 55, the president was treated to a private celebration in Washington D.C. by his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama. Although the top secret gathering appeared to be a social-media free event, many famous guests however couldn’t help but share their excitement with us all both before and after the party.

“Tonight was a night I will never forget. #BarackObama #happybirthday,” Nick Jonas wrote on social media early Saturday morning. Today show co-host Al Roker added, “An honor to attend President @BarackObama 55th birthday celebration at @WhiteHouse tonight.” Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie also shared a few pictures after the event including a few famous friends they ran into. Oh, we see you Samuel L. Jackson. “#AboutLastNight Our President knows how to throw a great party, we had so much fun, I can barely walk today, LOL!” she wrote on Instagram. “Happy Birthday Mr. President @barackobama!!!”

According to White House journalist April Ryan’s social media, Ellen DeGeneres and Common were also in attendance and enjoyed musical performances from Stevie Wonder and Usher. We told you it was an unforgettable party. The celebration comes after Vice President Joe Biden shared a special birthday message on Twitter that included a friendship bracelet. “Happy 55th, Barack!” he wrote with the piece of jewelry that included flower, star and smiley beads. ” A brother to me, a best friend forever.” Michelle also shared an Instagram with the message, “55 years young and that smile still gets me every single day. Happy birthday, Barack. I love you. –mo.” The Obamas are expected to head over to Martha’s Vineyard this weekend for a two-week family vacation. Via E!
