Prime or not to prime- Make-up Primer
What is a make-up Primer?
The first time I heard of a primer I had to check I was not in a paint or DIY shop. My colleague alongside her table full of products looked at me with a slightly tilted head and a wide eyed look on her face saying. ‘You don’t use a primer?’ So what is a make-up primer? It’s a product applied to the face and neck that feels like a veil of silk being applied. This in turn gives even coverage and a longer lasting ware. You can now purchase primer for the face, lips and eyes. A primer is not a substitute for moisturiser & most will not contain a sunscreen. With cancer awareness being at the forefront of cosmetics please ensure your moisturiser has an adequate sunscreen/ protection. I have used a primer on my hands before when I experienced chapped hands after being caught in a rather severe snow storm. The primer not only soothed my hands but also created a barrier. If you have a favourite primer please let us know, these are my top 3.
