Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Lilly Allen attended the British Fashion Awards despite having clashed numerous of times over the years in a filthy war of words. It looks like they finally kissed and made up after a bitter feud which lasted for almost a decade.
They were very happy and full of smiles as they contentedly posed together for photographs at the British Fashion Awards last night. Cheryl, 32 wore a sheer-custom made Topshop gown and over-the-knee boots to be suited for this cold weather.
Mum-of-two Lilly wore a metallic navy Chanel gown which matched the blue hue of her bobbed hair. She then later wore a padded blue designer jacket as the weather turned chilly. Their emulation began nine years ago when Lilly recorded a song called, Cheryl tweedy which was Cheryl’s name before she married Ashley Cole then later claimed nobody wanted to look like the Girls Aloud star – saying, “they just think they do”. In retaliation, the Geordie beauty branded the Smile singer a “chick with a d*ck” as the verbal battle truly got personal.
Lilly sent an unpleasant letter stating, “Taking your clothes off, doing sexy dancing and marrying a rich footballer” – wouldn’t make her mum proud.” She wrote: “Cheryl, if you’re reading this, I may not be as pretty as you, but at least I write and sing my own songs without the aid of Auto-Tune.”The star admitted last year that she regretted the awful words she used against Cheryl. Speaking to Q magazine, she said: “I wish that whole thing hadn’t happened. I like Cheryl. She’s good on The X Factor, she’s pretty and she’s got balls. I like women who do well.”
