After a six year hiatus (which seems like a life time to the lovers of UK’s RnB and Garage scene) – Craig David ended off 2015 by giving us the gift of a new track – ‘When The Bassline Drops – ft Big Narstie’ and announcing his comeback. After signing to record label, Sony in the recent weeks he’s been mending hearts through his 2016 tour in the UK and even performing in Paris and Amsterdam. On twitter David’s supporters have been going crazy, so the hype is most definitely real! Other line ups include his performance at the V Festival this summer which is sure to be worth the wait considering the massive support and reviews he’s been receiving on his current tour.
More recently – last week the video for the track ‘Who Am I’ was released – a collaboration with Katy B and Major Lazer. It truly takes us back to the early 2000’s through its fresh take on the old school RnB sound. You can catch the video below
Not only is he blessing us with fresh new music, he is also known for his edgy covers. David performed his rendition of Justin Bieber – Love Yourself which stays true to his style as he puts his own twist on the track. If you haven’t heard it already you can watch his BBC Live Lounge cover below!
With Craig David all over your…social media – he surely is everywhere these days and we are definitely happy about this long awaited come back, ready for the fresh vibes he’s about to bring back to the charts! Now lets ‘Re -e-wind’, with that I leave you with my favorite Craig David track – yes, you’re welcome, it is in fact ‘Fill Me In’ (2000).
