As most star’s dressed up for Halloween festivities. Harper’s Bazaar hosted their annual event Women of the Year award. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jason Stratham’s bae was named businesswoman of the year, she was one of 16 women to be awarded.
Some of Rosie’s work includes designing a lingerie collection for Marks and Spencer, ambassador for Ugg boots as well as partnering with Paige Denim. With the modelling world changing so much since the era of supermodels, models are required to be so much more. brand ambassador’s, social media stars, as well as having the ability to collaborate with different brands.
Being a great business woman almost comes with the job, and gives models so much more dimension. Even musicians are having to change the way in which they work, for example Rihanna, didn’t release an album for her fans in over 5 years as she was focusing on projects outside of music to cement her brand. For Rosie to be awarded such an accolade, it’s proof of her continued growth and development as not only a model, but an actress and brand ambassador. We hope to see more models delve in to the world of business and show that modelling is not just about a pretty face, but intellect as well. We say kudos Rosie!
The night was celebrated in the beautiful Claridges Hotel, celebrating women in the fashion, art, film and theatre industries. Guests included Emma Watson, Donatella Versace and Kiera Knightley. Keeping in theme with Halloween Rosie donned a velvet & sheer leopard print shoulder top, teamed with black fringe earrings. Emma Watson wowed guests by wearing a gothic haute couture Dior gown, which was perfectly suited for this year’s event. The corset like feature accentuated her slim figure showing off all her best assets, all without revealing too much.
