Maybe you can’t even imagine trying some of the trends that were exhibited during Milan, Paris, London or New York fashion week. But whether you’re single, engaged, in a stable relationship, a complicated relationship, whatever you’re status may be, we know that you have pictured yourself in a wedding gown (even if you try to deny it!).
The fall Bridal fashion week took place in New York City this week, and we can tell you that, the fall bride of 2016 is a sexy illusion and timelessly chic!
Many designers like Alon Livne and Inbal Dror embraced the sexy bride, creating illusions with sheer fabric, thigh high slits, backless gowns and plunging necklines. Other designers, among them Lela Rose, Marchesa, Monique Lhuillier and Naeem Khan with clean A-lines, mermaid silhouettes, traditional ball-gowns, bell sleeves, pearl embellishments and crystal embroidery, brought a delicate touch of elegance and romance to the runway.
Trends from the ready to wear A/W 2015-2016 runway, were also spotted in the bridal collections, from Victorian and Edwardian high necks and long sleeves to peek-a-boo lace, key hole cut outs and fringes. Trends which seemed a lot less daring on the gowns.
With so many collections and such little time, we have selected our favourites from the fall BFW, fulfilling the fantasies of the little princess inside each and every one of you.
