The Future of the UK’s Female Rap Scene

Although cis males have always dominated rap music, some extraordinary women exceed the standards placed on female rappers. This generation of female rappers proves that women can drop ‘bars’ just as cold as their male counterparts. The UK rap scene has birthed some of the most world-renowned rappers, such as Skepta, Giggs, Stormzy, and Kano. These artists are all pioneers of their respected sub-genres and have paved the way for future generations.

In this new era of UK rap, we see more women rising to the ranks with their strong presence. These women showcase their unique style and versatility. We believe that they are the next trail-blazers for the industry, and they are what the industry currently needs.
