London in winter is pure magic — the twinkling Oxford Street lights, the London in winter is pure magic — the twinkling Oxford Street lights, the scent of roasted chestnuts, and now, Lanes of London’s Festive Afternoon Tea, a celebration of Christmas charm available from 15 November.
Set within the historic Marriott Park Lane Hotel, Lanes of London blends classic British heritage with modern elegance. Once a row of Georgian townhouses overlooking Hyde Park, it’s now a refined yet relaxed dining destination, the perfect spot to escape the winter chill.

This season, the restaurant reimagines the quintessential afternoon tea with a joyful festive twist. Begin with savoury bites like turkey and cranberry bonbons, smoked salmon and Cornish crab tartare mille-feuille, and a truffle polenta canapé topped with whipped goat cheese and orange marmalade. A pumpkin caponata and red onion filo parcel adds a comforting, seasonal note.
Next comes the showstopping patisserie — edible art inspired by the magic of Christmas. Highlights include Santa’s Sleigh, a fruit cake with ginger shortbread and vanilla frosting; the Christmas Present, a red plum cheesecake with cherry compote; Upside-Down Santa, a mixed berry and chocolate parfait; and the Holiday Candle, an orange sponge with cinnamon crème chiboust.

Freshly baked plain and spiced scones arrive with Cornish clotted cream and cranberry jam, paired with JING teas or a glass of bubbles. Guests can also upgrade to 90 minutes of free-flowing Cava for an added touch of sparkle.
Priced at £50 per person, this festive afternoon tea is the ideal indulgence after a day of Christmas shopping or before an evening at Winter Wonderland.
Elegant, whimsical, and rich with seasonal spirit — Lanes of London’s Festive Afternoon Tea is a delightful way to celebrate the magic of the holidays in one of Mayfair’s most storied addresses.
