The Best Chadwick Boseman Films to Watch Now

2020 is officially the saddest year. Many of you may have heard the news of the passing of Marvel’s Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman. The star, aged 43 passed following a four year battle with cancer. Here are a selection of his films that we have put together to start binge watching.

The Express (2008)

This was Boseman’s first ever film. The film is based on the life of a university football player named Ernie Davis, who was the first African American to win the Heisman Trophy. The Express explores civil rights topics in America such as racism.

42 (2013)

Boseman bagged the lead role for 42. Based on an African American man who was the first to play in the Major League Baseball, this film demonstrates the racism this man had to face during the process of is signing.

Get On Up (2014)

Based on the life story of the king of soul, James Brown, played by Chadwick Boseman. The film gives the audience a look on behind the scenes of a musician. Jacob King

A Message From the King (2016)

Not like King T’chala, Boseman’s plays incredible character Jacob King, in search for his disappearing sister.

Marshall (2017)

Boseman plays Thugood Marshall, a lawyer who fights against racial prejudice.

Black Panther (2018)

Black panther was the first Black protagonist in the Marvel Universe. Boseman played King T’Challa, leader of Wakanda. T’chala also appears in two Avengers films and Captain American: Civil War

The Avengers: End Game (2019)

This was the last Avengers film in the Marvel Universe and lets say it wouldn’t have been a victory without King T’Chala.
