If you thought heroin was bad – think again. There’s a new drug in town and it’s strong enough to kill you with just one pill. The fact that in 12 days, Fentanyl killed 10 people just about says it all. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg. This synthetic drug is sweeping across the U.S, and as of yet it has resulted in over 300 fatal overdoses amongst pretty much everyone crazy enough to try it. The majority of the cases have been in New Hampshire.
Fentanyl is a known drug amongst cancer patients; it is sometimes administered in the latent stages of the disease. However, even in these circumstances, extreme caution is warranted – even then it can often result in deadly overdoses.
To make the situation worse, the drug that is currently being banded around is illegally manufactured in underground labs, being given instead of heroin. The Drug Enforcement Agency has stated that this Fentanyl is between 20 – 100 times more potent than heroin. It is no wonder everyone who dares to take this ends up dying.
According to Metro News, A boy named Jerome Butler died, having taken just one tablet. He believed that he was taking an opioid painkiller. In a statement, his mother, Natasha, announced: “It shut down his organs. It shut down his kidneys. It shut down his liver. His brain was swollen. The doctor said there was nothing he could do for him. From one pill.”
It is thought that many people are unintentionally taking the drug, due to the fact that it is being mixed with other drugs, predominantly heroin. By ‘cutting’ the heroin with Fentanyl, the drug becomes much more powerful, and both the buyer and seller save on cost. However, only one of the two people in this exchange will come out smiling. This shows how disgusting and ruthless dealers are – don’t give your life to these scoundrels.
