Mexican-inspired restaurant Wahaca has partnered with cult London sandwich spot Crunch to launch a limited-edition collaboration inspired by one of the world’s most iconic salads – and its lesser-known Mexican origins. Available throughout July and August, the Wahaca Caesar (£12.50) pays homage to the Caesar salad, which was famously created in Tijuana, Mexico, over 100 years ago, transforming the classic into an indulgent sandwich packed with bold Mexican-inspired flavours.
Served in Crunch’s signature toasted brioche, the Wahaca Caesar features ancho-rubbed chicken thigh layered with creamy avocado, crisp baby gem, tangy pickled onions, rich Caesar dressing and crunchy tortilla strips – bringing together the familiar flavours of a Caesar salad with Wahaca’s distinctive Mexican influence.
The limited-edition sandwich will be available from Crunch’s Soho and Spitalfields locations, as well as for delivery across London via Deliveroo.
As an added bonus, every customer who orders the Wahaca Caesar – either in-store or for delivery – will receive a special drinks coaster that can be redeemed for a complimentary Margarita when dining at any Wahaca restaurant across London.
